1. Player assumes basic
hockey stance standing on the defensive zone blueline with top hand only
on stick facing center line.
2. Player starts test bringing both heels together/toes pointing outwards with knees slightly flexed. 3. Player initiates forward momentum by transferring weight, allowing skates to travel outwards (widen) until shoulder width apart then through leg extension and hip rotation, rotate hips inwards bringing feet (toes) back together under the body. 4. Repeat continuously down the length of the ice. |
Pass:
Player must perform consecutive "C" Cuts down the length of the ice surface using continuous synchronous heel/hip action with stopping. If player; slip/falls or cannot perform test, he/she is allowed on repeat if after which time the test is again unsuccessful, he/she will be awarded an incomplete (X) on test card. |
