LEVEL 3 -BACKWARD SYNCHRONOUS "C" CUTS
Protocol Example Grading
1. Player assumes hockey stance position with feet close together and standing on the defensive zone blueline with top hand only on stick facing goal line.

2. Player starts test by rotating hips so that both heels turn outwards creating a backwards gliding motion.

3. Player initiates backward momentum by transferring weight, allowing skates to travel outwards (widen) until shoulder width apart then through foot extension and hip rotation, rotate hips inwards bringing feet (heels) back together under the body.

4. Repeat continuously down the length of the ice.

Pass:

Player must perform consecutive "C" Cuts down the length of the ice surface using continuous synchronous heel/hip action with stopping.

If player; slips/falls or cannot perform test, he/she is allowed on repeat if after which time the test is again unsuccessful, he/she will be awarded an incomplete (X) on test card.
